This week, the children have been finding out about the importance of Remembrance Day. They have thoroughly enjoyed participating in a range of activities such as designing a medal, creating a poppy field picture using J2e and painting their very own Poppy pebbles, which are now displayed outside our classroom.

The children also enjoyed finding out about the purple poppy. We had a lovely discussion about not only the veterans who served in the war but also the courageous animals who stood by their sides – Year 1 will remember them too.
