The nursery children were very kind today and decided to feed the birds in our nature area. They wanted to combine feeding the birds and their knowledge of shapes, so they decided to make shape feeders. They used large shape stencils and crushed cornflakes to make different 2D shapes on the ground. The birds thoroughly enjoyed eating the shapes and the children said that they were sure they could hear them tweeting, “Thank you!”
