In Year 1 today, Mr Keegan visited us to tell us all about his hobby of fishing. As we have been learning about sea creatures, it gave the children a good opportunity to not only find out more information but to also have experience of handling some of the actual equipment used. The children were really surprised at how much equipment is needed and how big a fishing rod can be! Mr Keegan also showed some photographs from his experiences of fishing and the children were fascinated by the creatures that can be found in our local waters. A huge thank you to Mr Keegan for popping in, it was lovely to hear about your ‘real-life’ experiences and it was a great ‘hands-on’ opportunity for the children.
