This week Reception have been exploring their emotions! We used the book ‘The tell me tree’ to look at how people feel and then talk about their favourite emotions. All of Reception chose to be HAPPY! Such a great emotion! We looked at how we show happiness and what happens to our faces when we are happy.
Then the children were given a challenge of designing a ‘happy face cake’.
The children drew 2 designs and then created a final design…. now the fun part, decorating the cakes.
