What a traumatic week we have had in Year 1!
First of all, the Evil Pea caused havoc in the classroom by sellotaping vegetables and covering them in paint! So we made our very own Supertatoes to rescue the vegetables.
Then, our lovely class mascot, Ioan the Sheep, was kidnapped by the Evil Pea! Luckily, we have been learning all about persuasion in our language lessons, so decided to put our persuasive skills to the test and try and persuade the Evil Pea to return Ioan. We created videos using the Ipads, made posters which we put up around the school trying to persuade other classes to help us and we completed challenges, given to us by the Evil Pea, linked to our focus sound of the week. By 3pm, we had pretty much given up hope of ever seeing Ioan again, but then Mrs Norman arrived with a parcel for us…..our amazing persuasive skills had worked and the Evil Pea had sent Ioan back!!!! We were all so thrilled and can now have a relaxing, enjoyable weekend, knowing that our little friend, Ioan, is happy and safe. Well done Blwyddyn 1- amazing work this week. What a super team we are!!
