Year 3 Investigate Shadows

This week, the children have enjoyed investigating shadows as part of our science topic ‘Light’. The question they have been investigating is ‘What happens to the size of a shadow when you move a light source away from the object?’ We had a mixture of interesting predictions with some thinking the shadow would get bigger and some predicting the shadow would get smaller. In small groups, the children carried out their investigation, recorded their results and created a bar chart using J2E. They then used their results to write about what they had found out and  discussed possible ways in which the investigation could be improved next time. Awesome work Year 3!
