As part of our Mountains and Volcanoes, today we thoroughly enjoyed developing our LNF skills. The pupils were each given £500 and a Go Outdoors catalogue to calculate a budget to buy equipment for an expedition up a mountain. The shopping lists were very creative to begin with but pupils soon realised that practicality and survival were key.
In the afternoon we then put into practice all we have researched about dens and mountains and set off on our journey to set up camp. The pupils were excellent at problem solving and teamwork. Once we had all settled into camp, pupils enjoyed a well deserved snack.
