Pontlliw celebrated world book day in their pyjamas today, to promote bedtime reading. The boys and girls brought in favourite books from home and enjoyed sharing their stories throughout the day. We had a whole school assembly where we discussed different types of stories. Each class chose a focus author, and then undertook lots of exciting class-based activities. Every pupil will bring home a £1 World Book Day Voucher, which can be used until 31st March. Thank you for the £1 contributions received for wearing pyjamas. The money will be used towards replenishing our reading scheme for Foundation Phase and Junior pupils. Happy Word Book Day everybody!
