Yesterday, as part of their Big Question ‘Has our world changed?’, the Year 2s investigated the types of houses and homes in the streets around our school. We began by learning the Welsh names for different types of houses. We then headed out and used our tallying skills to collect the data in a table. When we returned to school, we talked about our findings and discussed why there were no flats, boats or huts in Pontlliw, but lots of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses. The children then loved chatting about their dream houses. We will now move on to creating charts on J2Chart to show what we found out on our walk.
