Year 1 are having a lot of fun this term learning all about how to use Minecraft Education Edition to learn about real life superheroes. We started off by conducting some research in to the different heroes, their job roles, places of work and equipment that they use. We then sketched ideas of what we would like our world to look like within Minecraft- including what our building would look like and what dialogue and information our NPCs (Non-player characters) would provide.
We have now started to build our Minecraft Hero World and the children are continuing to have lessons on how to build and communicate information on Minecraft. So far we have collectively built a Police and Fire station- I am incredibly impressed with the children’s builds so far and we enjoyed showing our Minecraft World to the school during our virtual assembly on Monday.
