Year 1 have had a lot of fun this afternoon, learning all about forces. We began the afternoon by discussing what a force was. We then spoke about different types of forces and decided to focus on ‘push’ and ‘pull’. The children could give lots of examples of items that require them to ‘push’ or ‘pull’.
We also discussed what objects need to require them to move e.g. Are they powered by battery or electricity?
The children particularly enjoyed categorising the images in to the correct columns by cutting and sticking everyday objects!
