Mark making is not only fun but forms a vital part of a child’s development. It helps to develop their physical and creative skills, and their imagination. It gives them an output to express their feelings and is also a stepping stone into writing. In nursery the children have been taking part in a range of different exciting mark making activities. They wrote in shaving foam, on cling film with whiteboard markers, outside with chalk and they even drew on paper underneath the table! The children made sure they were ready by doing their finger gym exercises first and by carrying out other finger strengthening activities. Well done nursery!
