Year 1 really enjoyed today having an Expressive Arts lesson, based on our Christmas Advert- Lilly and the Snowman!

When watching Lilly and the Snowman for the first time, the children quickly noticed that there were no words or dialogue. Therefore, they wanted to re-create their favourite scenes and include their own dialogue for what they believed the Snowman and Lilly would say to each other.

They then went on to re-create some of the shadow puppets that are in the film, using their hands and arms. We then had a go at creating still images of our favourite scenes from the story and mirroring each others actions.

An excellent lesson Year 1- da iawn!
