As part of our learning about materials and their properties, this week Dosbarth Beech have been out and about investigating why materials have been used for different purposes. After discussing their properties and learning about concepts such as transparent, rigid, brittle and flexible, the children found out that materials have to be chosen carefully for their use and purpose.
