Year 1 have had lots fun celebrating their Superhero Day today. They undertook some tricky training in order to become fully fledged superheroes. They had to use an alphabet code to find out their superhero name. They created their own superhero shields (using their problem solving skills to make sure they attached a handle). They had a go at target practice with Spiderman’s sticky web and they also use the waterguns to solve number problems, shooting the correct answer. In the afternoon, they did the physical training where they had to count and time certain exercises. What a busy day and I’m pleased to say all the children passed the training! We celebrated by having a superhero themed cake as a treat and the children each had their own certificate to take home.
