This week, year 4 have been designing and making cactus magnets! They came up with a series of ideas, then selected their favourite one to make. We made a huge mess making the salt dough, but worked hard at measuring accurately, then mixing and working the dough into a useable form. Once they had been shaped, they were let to dry, and baked for a short while to make help dry them out. The class then used their design ideas to decorate the magnets.
The final step will be to finish them with a PVA sealant, then use magnetic tape to help them stick to various surfaces. Da iawn Blwyddyn Pedwar!
