This afternoon, Year 3 had an exciting lesson where they studied maps of Pontlliw from 1916! We looked at all of the different landmarks that Pontlliw used to have and those that still remain today.

The children thoroughly enjoyed using their research sheets to learn all about the history of Carmel Chapel, Pontlliw School, Lliw Mill, Lliw Forge, GWR and much more! They were able to note down interesting facts and have a lovely appreciation of our communities history.
