What a ‘super’ day we have had in Year 1. We began by finding out what our Superhero names are and writing them in secret messages! Using paint, we were able to work out what everyone’s Superhero name is! Then, we decided that to be a Superhero we need superhero equipment, so we created some fantastic shields!
Before lunch, we all did superhero action training when we had to do a specific number of exercises. Keeping fit and developing our number skills along the way!

After lunch, we had target practice, where we used water guns to shoot superheroes with numbers on. We were given maths challenges and we had to work out the answers, making sure we hit the correct number. We also had a sticky spider web challenge. Every time we hit the spider web with a ‘fireball’, we would get a point.

Finally, we had a superhero problem to solve. A case arrived but it was locked with a padlock. The children had to retrieve the keys from the ice in order to open the case! I’m pleased to say we had a successful mission and the children opened the case to find a special treat to enjoy at the end of what has been a busy, fun Superhero day!
