During our Australian topic the children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the role of the firefighters dealing with the Australian bushfires. As well as putting the fires out they have an important role in rescuing the injured animals. The children decided they wanted to do something to help and came up with the idea of having a little fundraiser. This week they have planned, designed and made a koala bear craft to send home (we hope you like them!) as well as a poster made on JIT to raise awareness. Thank you so much for your kind donations – the boys and girls were so proud this afternoon to send $50 to ‘Zoos Victoria’ to help with their mission. I am also very proud of them, as always, for all their hard work. They are most definitely enterprising, creative contributors!
