As part of our World Book Day celebration, we were extremely lucky to have a visit from the authors Helen and Thomas Docherty. Thomas Docherty read the nursery children a few of their amazing stories and he also showed the children how to draw the characters from the stories. The nursery children then participated in a range of different activities linked to the stories. They made an amazing knight, like the knight in the book, ‘The Knight That Wouldn’t Fight’ and their very own ‘Big Scary Monster’. They also enjoyed some ‘Abracazebra’ activities. What an enjoyable, busy morning.
