Dosbarth Hazel had so much fun celebrating World Book Day!

We started the day by learning about the author and poet Benjamin Zephaniah and we enjoyed reading poetry that we has published. We read one particular poem, Bright and Beautiful, which focusses on the way that we shine and are special. The children then enjoyed writing their own poetry celebrating how we are all unique.

In the afternoon, the children then enjoyed creating their own animations from their favourite book scenes using J2 easy animate. The children were then lucky enough to participate in a drama session with Mrs Owen and develop their skills in this area by learning all about a story linked to clouds.

We then finished the day by having a lovely Health & Well-being story read to us by Mrs Hopkins! What a lovely day we had- a big thank you to our volunteers!
